The Week in Art podcast | Guerrilla Girls: corrupt museum boards, the female nude and NFTs

11 June 2021. My teenage dream come true: I got to speak to the Guerrilla Girls! On The Art Newspaper‘s The Week in Art podcast we looked at two festivals of art, one of which was Art Night. Frida Kahlo and Kathe Kollwitz of the feminist art group spoke to me about their ongoing activism and their new billboards for Art Night.

Other segments in this podcast include Ben Luke discussing Glasgow International with its director, Richard Parry, and then reviewing the work in the festival with The Art Newspaper’s contemporary art correspondent Louisa Buck. Plus, Ben talks to Samantha Friedman, co-curator of the Museum of Modern Art in New York’s Cézanne Drawing show, about a study sheet of pencil sketches by the French artist, with an apple, a self-portrait, a bather and a portrait of Francisco Goya.
